Creative Search Media

Creative Search Media founder, Julia Hyde, began her career as a general dogsbody at a UK-based tabloid newspaper.

After spending much of her time making tea and getting ignored by jaded reporters, she quit and moved into the health care field (don’t ask.) Tired of working with the hierarchy and red tape of a large, inner-city hospital, Julia somehow managed to get herself a job with a UK-based advertising agency. Her duties there consisted of writing advertising copy, presenting concepts to the management and working the floor of trade shows for the agency’s clients.

An independent copywriter and consultant.

Moving to the United States in 1995, Julia began working as an independent copywriter and advertising consultant. Overtime, the one-person business grew and client demand led to the birth of Creative Search Media, a full-service advertising and search marketing agency.

Julia’s philosophy.

Julia’s philosophy is simple: she focuses on advertising and search marketing techniques that have been tried, tested and proven to work – she had some good teachers. Whether it’s search engine optimization, search engine marketing (SEO or SEM), print media advertising, public relations services or website design and development, she believes that consumers still buy products or services from companies whose advertising promises value for money, health, beauty, success, social status and relief from suffering.

Although she thinks she can do everything, her real forte is search engine optimization and marketing, copywriting and creating the concepts and copy that make Creative Search Media’s clients’ cash register’s ring.

One person no more.

Creative Search Media now employs experts in various fields — web site designers, usability testing analysts, programmers, logo designers, research specialists — who work closely with Julia (and Creative Search Media’s clients) to create advertising that actually works.

Her time as the brunt of reporter’s jokes and tea-making expertise paid off.

Julia frequently writes articles about print media advertising and search engine marketing for magazines and newspapers, including SOHO Magazine, The San Jose Mercury News, Web Pro News, All Business News and Yahoo! Small Business and Work.com. She’s also known for her Marketing Works! newsletter. This popular newsletter discusses the latest news and opinion from the world of print media advertising, search engine marketing and public relations. If you’d like to subscribe to Marketing Works!, you can sign up right here. She also still makes a great cup of tea!
